For part 3 in our Redecorating our UGLY fridge series we have created some Fun Felt Magnets that double as picture frames. The kids can move the shapes around and put them together in different ways too if you put them down near their level. This is how we made them ...
You will need
• Adhesive sheet magnets – they come in A4 sized sheets where you peel the sticker part off and the magnet sheet is sticky. They were very reasonably priced but not that widely available here where I live – I only found them in one local craft store but looked in several.
• Felt in assorted colours
• Sequins and sparkles to decorate and craft glue (we used school glue and glitter glue but our sparkles fall off too easily, so I would try something a bit stronger)
• Scissors, craft knife, ruler and cutting mat
Peel the adhesive backing off your magnetic sheet. Stick the felt on to the adhesive magnet, then you need to download the frames templates at the end of this post, cut the ones you want to use out and stick them with a little bit of double sided tape to the top of the felt. Then cut the shape out of the felt-covered magnet.
I let the kids decorate ours with sparkles and glitter - this is totally optional. It's fun for them and personalises the magnets to make them that bit more special.
We gave pom poms a try but they all just fell off again as soon as they were dry - so leave the pom poms out or use a stronger glue.

Here's some of ours finished.
As you can see the sequins began to fall off too (sob!), but we still love them.
Use them for photographs or artwork.
The girls are really proud of their magnets. They're not perfect but they are bright and cheerful and liven up our fridge.
