This printable multiplication game includes a set of questions with the answers on a game card for each of the times tables 1-12.

multiplication bingo – a fun multiplication game for kids to help them reenforce and practice their times tables

Times table practice might be boring, but who doesn’t love a good game of Bingo?

I find that my kids are more likely to put effort into their learning if it’s via a fun game rather than drilling and recitation.

Multiplication games are a bit like cooking veggies into chocolate muffins. Some kids might diligently practice and learn them, but many don’t – no matter how much you try to coax them into it. And, with some kids the more you push the more they push back.

Solo times table bingo makes memorisation more fun.

It’s been designed for when you’re working on one multiplication table at a time. Nobody “wins”, but you can make the game more exciting by racing against the clock to beat your previous time.

This is one of a series of multiplication games and activities we’ve been working on. So far we have:

  • multiplication memory match
  • times tables spinners
  • colouring mandalas
  • times tables bookmarks

How to play multiplication bingo for one

  1. Print out the bingo game cards and questions (also available in our TPT store)
  2. Cut out the question cards
  3. Shuffle the cards and and lay them face down in a pile on the table
  4. Read the questions out one at a time, and cover the corresponding answer with a counter
  5. When all of the answers are found shout “Bingo!”

If kids are still learning it can help to have a print out of the answers to refer to.

For durability it’s recommended to print your BINGO game onto card stock but paper also works. In addition to the printable file you will need some game counters (you can use glass beads, buttons, mini erasers, plastic counters or whatever you have on hand).

I’m basically a big kid who never grew up and still loves to muck around with paint, glitter, glue and toilet rolls. With the crafts shared here on this website I’m hoping to give other parents and carers inspiration to get crafty with their kids at home – make our projects, or use them as a source of inspiration to spark ideas of your own. When it comes to crafting no rules apply!
