Here’s a super-simple, fun way to decorate eggs this year and you only need 2 materials! My kids loved doing this craft…
You will need:
• Eggs
• Sharpie markers in an assortment of colours
…that’s all!
How to:
First hard boil the eggs. Tip – adding a dash of vinegar (approx 2tbps) into the water can help to stop them cracking when they boil. You can blow them out if you prefer but I think that blown out eggs might be a bit too delicate for little hands. If younger kids use markers they are likely to press too hard and crack them.
Once cooled, set the eggs out with your coloured markers.
Let the kiddos draw whatever they like on the eggs. You can even have a go at it yourself (I did, of course).
…and that’s all there is to it.
After decorating, we ate our eggs for lunch – yum!

Let me tell you, we did some Sharpie on the Easter Egg too and it did NOT turn out likes yours. 🙂 Tell me that my 2 and 3 year olds scribbling is normal and not a sign they’ll have no artistic ability?

My girls are 4 and 5 now, one is already at big school and the other finishing off her last year of preschool. At 2 & 3 years old they mostly scribbled too.
