Do you like to upcycle junk? I confess I have more upcycling ideas than there is crafting action, which means I have boxes and boxes (you wouldn’t believe how many if I told you) of hoarded junk that I need to store somewhere in the house or garage because I’m definitely going to “make something with that one day“. I swear I am not a hoarder, these are all useful things that have a potential purpose. Well, I’ve finally gotten around to making some yoghurt pot Easter baskets that I’ve been planning since last Easter, and they take no time at all. Plus, as an added bonus, I got to use up some of my extensive washi tape collection that I’ve been planning to use one day for a very long time now too. Here is how you can make one of these baskets in less than 10 minutes…
You will need:
• empty small yoghurt tub that has been washed and dried with the label removed.
• washi tape
• pipecleaners
• coloured beads
• tissue paper
How to:
Add washi tape in stripes around the yoghurt tub.
Punch holes in the sides of the yoghurt tub with a hole punch, then wind a pipe cleaner through the holes. Thread some coloured beads on to the pipe cleaner before you attach the second end closing off the handle. We used 5 beads for each basket. Cut out a small square of tissue paper and use it to line the basket with.
Fill with mini Easter eggs as a special treat – yum!
