Aussie Aussie Aussie!
Now that Christmas and New Year have passed, it’s time to look forward to the next public holiday and for all of us here in Oz that’s Australia Day on January 26.
Sometimes it feels like other public holidays steal all the glory, the kids anticipate them with glee and count down the days until their arrival. Maybe we’re all sick of celebrating because it’s so close to Christmas and New Year, but poor old Australia day is very small and humble by comparison. Let’s give it a bit more recognition! I want to see my kids grow up with a sense of national pride about the place they live in and I want them to know how lucky they are to be Australian, so I’ve co-ordinated a blog hop with 10 other awesome bloggers who are going to be sharing an Australian-themed idea with you all. As each new idea goes live I’ll be posting the links right here, so remember to check back every day to see what’s new. You can also follow along on our facebook page, or our Australia Day board on Pinterest. In addition to following the blog hop, maybe you’d like to give your kids this short Australia Day Quiz to get them excited about the big day and build up a a bit of anticipation:
